Why we use Coconut Oil at Nourish'd

Coconut oil is classified as a superfood. It's nutrient-rich and considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being.

We love to cook with coconut oil here at Nourish'd. Why? Because it is good for you and we are all about the goodness!

Our meals are created to help you nourish your body and get the best out of life, so it was a no brainer really to use a great oil when cooking with high quality meat and produce.

Coconut oil contains fatty acids with potent medicinal properties. These fatty acids have the ability to kill harmful bacteria and prevent infection.

It may increase your body's ability to burn fat and boost your metabolism, not to mention curb unhealthy cravings by improving digestion and nutrient absorption (which is handy because our food is jam packed with veg).

For centuries people have been using coconut oil on their skin and hair and it can improve moisture and help you glow. So cooking with it only helps you glow from the inside out!

There are so many great recipes, both sweet and savoury, that use coconut oil in place of dairy these days, which is hugely beneficial to those who are allergic to dairy products. You can even create dairy free chocolate with it!

So, in summary, we think coconut oil is pretty fabulous. If you'd like to incorporate it into your diet, have a look at our menu as we love to cook many of our meals with it.
