The Benefits of Herbs

We love herbs and spices here at Nourish'd. Our meals are all super clean and healthy but full of flavour because we choose to cook with delicious, natural herbs and spices (and not crappy preservatives like some). But did you know there is much more than just flavour that benefits you? Herbs and spices have sooooo much more going for them than you think. Here are just a few of our favourites to cook with, and the awesome health benefits that come with them!

Coriander A wonderful source of dietary fibre, vitamin C, iron and magnesium as well.

Basil A natural immune booster. Full of antioxidants.

Turmeric A great anti inflammatory spice. Can also lower the risk of heart disease.

Cumin Promotes digestion and is a rich source of iron.

Thyme Antibacterial and may reduce high blood pressure.

Chilli Boosts immunity and is a natural pain reliever.

Oregano Rich in antioxidants and can reduce viral infection and inflammation.

So as you can see just some of the herbs and spices we use in our meals are actually working hard at making you healthier on the inside and they also taste delicious at the same time!
