So you want to be healthier...
You might be thinking of joining a gym or altering your eating habits or maybe even considering doing a cleanse! Whatever it is you decide, try to incorporate the following 2 minute habits into your life and watch the positivity flow. They will help keep you on track for a clear and more successful outcome.
Try one or try them all! The choice is yours
1 - Make Your Bed
I know what you are thinking.... How is making my bed going to change my life?
Easy! It sets you up to leave your bedroom space feeling less cluttered and then you will return that night feeling a sense of freshness and clear space which promotes a better sleep. It also is two minutes of your life where you can just focus on something simple and easy (making your bed). It can really set you up for the day.
2 - Get Grounded
Earthing, or walking or standing barefoot on the ground, may sound a bit hippie, but a 2012 review published in the Journal of Environmental Public Health found that research supports the touted benefits of going barefoot, which include improved mood and sleep and reduced inflammation and chronic pain. So kick off those shoes and get grounded! Only need a few mins a day!
3- Set Intentions
Setting intentions on a daily basis is an incredible way to manifest positivity into your life. At the start of each day, take 2 minutes to set a few intentions and ask yourself - What do I aim to achieve? Intentions give you purpose, as well as the inspiration and motivation to achieve your purpose.
4 - Express Gratitude
At the end of each day it is amazing how we can sometimes feel overwhelmed or stressed by what might have happened in the day. Sometimes thats not the case and that is okay, but either way expressing gratitude can help put us in a better head space before we go to bed. Oprah herself likes to write down 2-3 things she was grateful for each day to help reflect on the positives. It can be anything! Like - I am grateful for the fresh food I ate for lunch. Or I am grateful for the love in my life, I am grateful for the beautiful sunshine, or for the work I achieved. It is up to you to decide what you are grateful for, but there is always something to be grateful for. And make sure you do not focus on any negatives. The shift in your mood will be uplifting. Make it a habit.
