Disability Awareness Month with Atkins Health

Did you know that one in five people are living with a disability? Chances are, someone close to you may be! They could also be eligible for funding to help with their physical wellbeing. Enter Nourish’d x Atkins Health! On May 31st the Nourish’d team ventured to the sunny Gold Coast to get involved in Disability Awareness Month by Atkins Health. Atkins Health is leading the way for new treatments in the exercise physiology sector and provides services to a large spectrum of clients including people with disabilities, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and much more. We visited a fitness group specialising in MS conditions where we stretched, lunged and had open and real conversations. Then, these community members got the chance to enjoy our Nourish’d meals! Over lunch we talked about what we all value in a meal provider which sparked conversations about funding for people with disabilities and how good quality, nutritious meals are essential for a meal delivery provider.

What can Atkins Health do for you?

Atkins Health wants you to live your best life possible! If you are struggling with a health or movement issue or just want to improve your fitness these are your people. They have four locations on the Gold Coast and are always keen to have a chat about what they could do to improve your mobility. Nourish’d and Atkins Health know that staying accountable for your health and wellbeing is the most important. Throughout Disability Awareness Month Atkins Health is promoting Ability Awareness Week and providing resources for people with disabilities about how to gain help and funding in areas of healthy meal delivery, home support, health care and transport.
