Well there has been a shift in the weather and its getting cooler, which means…. cold and flu season!!!
But never fear – check out these nutrient packed juice combos, to add to your already fabulous diet, and boost those infection fighting abilities now! And they taste pretty good too!
Any of these combos can be cold pressed, or juiced. Some can even be blended ( just make sure its a really good blender otherwise it will be too chunky)
Apple, Carrot & Orange fresh juice – This is a winning combo for fighting infection. Filled with vitamins A, B-6 and C. Also a great source of folic acid.
Beetroot , Carrot, Ginger & Tumeric – This is a great anti inflammatory combo due to the tumeric and ginger. Also high in vitamins A, E and C as well as iron and calcium. Its strong though so be prepared!!
Watermelon and Strawberry – This one is great for muscle soreness as watermelon is fab like that. High in magnesium, zinc and vitamins A and C.
Spinach, Mango, Strawberry and Banana – add ice to this and some water ( or coconut water or almond milk) and it makes a great smoothie too! Great source of iron, potassium, vitamins C and E too.
Juicing or blending combinations of vegetables with berries is always a great vitamin filled anti- oxidant drink. Berries are great super foods. And remember certain fruits and vegetables are higher in liquid content than others ( eg cucumbers, celery, apples , oranges, watermelon) so portions can vary.
